Pinnacle AX Series – Trunnion
Advanced 5-Axis CNC Machining for small / medium sized work pieces
AX Series offers flexible production applications on a robust, simple and compact structure, designed to solve your most complicated machining jobs. These Trunnion style models offer excellent undercut capability with 240 degrees range (+/-110) on the AX450/500 models.
The 5-axis synchronized machining allows complicated work pieces to be finished in just one setup giving increased machining efficiency and accuracy and reducing machine idle time.
Pinnacle AX Series Trunnion 5 Axis Machining Centres are the ideal choice for producing any parts with multiple curved faces such as aerospace components or medical equipment.
Pinnacle AX Series offers a choice of Table Size, Travel Ranges and Features

AX RANGE HEADLINE FEATURES
The 5-axis synchronized machining saves machining time, reduces repetitive workpiece setup and error, while dramatically increasing machining accuracy.
The major structural parts are manufactured from high quality Meehanite cast iron, which are annealed and tempered for stress relief with hardness over 190HB.
Roller type linear ways are used on the X, Y, Z axis for increased stability.
The spindle with entire headstock assembly is counter-balanced by a pneumatic system to minimize the column and headstock vibration during acceleration / deceleration.
The spindle head elevation employs a pneumatic type balance system to minimize the spindle head vibration during moving.
