The BX series machines by Pinnacle offer the latest and most precise 5-axis technology in the market. They provide simplified setup and production of complex and multi-sided parts without sacrificing precision or sustained accuracy.
Because the table is stationary and horizontal, these swivel head (B Axis) and rotary table (C Axis) 5 Axis centers are ideal for machining heavier parts.
The BX series are high rigidity structures providing wide working ranges. The high quality Meehanite iron, tempered for stress relief to over HB190 hardness, ensures deformation-free performance year after year.

BX RANGE HEADLINE FEATURES
Accessibility and flexibility
The Pinnacle BX Series converts into an open roof when doors are open to allow using a crane from above for heavy work pieces. When the doors are closed the work space is sealed. A wide opening provides easy accessibility to the work space and spindle.
The table height is designed to support operators when fixing the workpiece and the wide screen allows great visibility during the machine operation. It also comes with an extended clamping area for 3x flat tables.
Optimum rigidity is delivered by separating rotary axis and tiling axis.
Pneumatic Balance System For Z-Axis Stability and High Surface Finish
The Z-axis is counter-balanced via high response pneumatic cylinders. An air reservoir tank boosts performance, ensuring fast and stable Z-axis movement, giving high surface finish.
Spindle Cooling System For Efficiency, Accuracy and Long-Service Life
The spindle oil cooler permits the spindle to keep a constant temperature running and ensures long service life. It also provides high efficiency machining and high accuracy.
Linear Roller Guideway for Speed and Rigidity
X/Y/Z axes adopt roller guideways for optimum rigidity and speed.
6 rolling shoes on X/Z axes minimize damping effect.
Hollow Ball Screw Cooling System Minimizes Deformation
Oil cooling through ball screws on X, Y, Z axis minimizes thermal deformation and backlash, while ensuring smooth motion during rapid traverse.
CNC Controller System
The BX series utilises the Heidenhain TNC640 smart controller System integrated within this 5-axis simultaneously controlled machining centre.
The TNC640 is a user-friendly, reliable and high-tech controller including DCM (Dynamic Collision Monitoring), TCPM (Tool Centre Point Management) and Title & Plane function.
Tilting Plane Function
The plane feature makes it easy to define a tilted working plane for flexibility and accuracy.
Use tilting the working plane. With Cycle 19 with swivel heads or tilting tables. You program the operation as usual in the working plane, for example in X/Y. The machine runs the program in a plane that has been tilted by one or more rotary axes with respect to the main plane.
DCM (Dynamic Collision Monitoring)
DCM enables you to check for potential collision in the test run mode before actually machining a part. This avoids costly delays and machine downtime, and allows a safe simulation process.
TCPM function (Tool Centre Point Management)
In five-axis operations, the TCPM function ensures accurate and reliable tool movement on the contour avoiding damage to the work surface. It accurately maintains and controls the position of the tool tip when working with tilted axes.
With the aid of the TCPM function, the iTNC 530 automatically corrects the tool path machine geometry, the tool length, and compensates the tool radius in three dimensions.
Chip Flushing System
The Chip flushing system is equipped to remove cutting chips from inside the enclosure, which prevents chip accumulation and any possible damage to the linear guideways and ball screws.
Coolant Through Spindle (Option)
A 20 Bar high-pressure pump and sub tank ensures the CTS system offers the highest efficiency of chip disposal. This option increase productivity and extends the tools service life particularly if you’re regularly performing tasks such as deep hole drilling.
Chip Conveyor (Option)
A hinge type or scraper type chip conveyor option in the front side of the machine (heading off left or right) removes chips from the unit during operation.
Kinematice Opt. (Option)
Kinematice Opt. is an important component to help you meet your high production standards and requirements. With a HEIDENHAIN touch probe inserted, a 3-D touch probe cycle measures your machine's rotary axes fully automatically. The results of measurement are the same, regardless of whether the axis is a rotary table, a tilting table or a swivel head.
